Staten Island Ferry, New York City, New York
Around the United States - No Passport Required!I have tried to organize all of the places I have visited across this great country I call home. I have grouped my adventures by region of the country. Click the boxes to open them up and see a brief description and photos from that trip.
As I visit the many places around the country, I seem to be adding two places to my bucket list as I cross each one off the list. Some of the places below were on my bucket list, while others are just lucky opportunities. I kinda did things backwards; I traveled a bunch around the world before I really got to see much of the United States. So, this list is going to be growing. I guess my Bucket List is never really going to be complete. Is that a bad thing?

NEW YORK CITY - CHAPERONING THE SENIOR TRIP
March, 2015
This year, 2015, was my second time traveling to New York City with the seniors. I had been to the Big Apple a couple of times before, on my own with friends and then with the seniors the previous year. It is always a great time reliving the New York experience with the students that have never been.
WASHINGTON DC, NYC, AND PHILLY - EAST COAST BLITZ
April, 2012
Me and two of my buddies decided to take in some of the hot spots around the east coast region. We started in Washington DC, then off to Philadelphia, PA, then off to New York City, finally a quick stop in Hershey, PA on the way to Niagara Falls, NY. This was over spring break, 2012.
WEST SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS AND NIAGARA, NEW YORK - THE BIG E AND NIAGARA FALLS
Sept., 2006
The Big E is a huge multi-state state fair. There are booths and attractions from all of the New England States. There are even buildings owned by each state so by stepping inside, you are actually in that state! We stopped by an air force museum and saw lots of aeronautical artifacts. We also stopped by Niagara Falls and took in the beauty on the US/Canadian border.
CHICAGO, IL - THE WINDY CITY
July, 2018
Pioneer settlements and Secret Government Bunkers in West Virginia
Trains, Jets, and Corvettes in the Bluegrass State
The Southeast
ATLANTA, GEORGIA - THE HEART OF THE PEACH STATE
July, 2019
I had the opportunity to spend about three days exploring Atlanta, Georgia. Some of the sites I was able to see included the Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial plaza and park. It really brought to life the history I have only read and seen documentaries about. I also visited the Georgia State Capitol Building. It was also full of history and a beautiful rotunda. I also went to a baseball game between the Braves and the Reds. The world of Coca-Cola and Shedd's Aquarium were also on the list of hotspots. The trip wrapped up with a visit to Stone Mountain to see the awesome stone carving on the side of the mountain. It was completed by the same guy that did Mt. Rushmore.

LAKE TAHOE, NV AND SAN FRANCISCO - THE VACATION OF A LIFETIME
June, 2005
In early June, six friends pile into the van with a U-Haul trailer attached for all the extra luggage and headed west. We headed to Stateline Nevada, right on the Nevada/California border. It was a two-day ride and it is a good thing we didn't kill each other! ☺

MT. RUSHMORE, SOUTH DAKOTA AND DEVIL'S TOWER, WYOMING - BLACK HILLS AND GALACTIC BUTTES
July, 2018
In late July, 2018, me and my buddy Jon hit the road for South Dakota. We saw Mount Rushmore, Needles Highway in the Custer State Park, rode a train pulled by a steam locomotive, and visited Devil's Tower in Wyoming.
ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - TRIP TO THE TUNDRA
Sept. 2011
Over Labor Day weekend, 2011, I went to Anchroage, AK to be in my cousin's wedding. While I was there, I got to see some of the breathtaking scenery in a landscape so often frozen.
